If I get your question right, you are asking for the available power at the end of 35km distance? the “load end power” will depend on the size of your conductor in this 35Km distance and this can be calculated using the voltage drop equation. In addition, the type of load (motors, resistive load, etc) should also be considered.

Moreover, available power will never increase at the end of the line.

    Dear Friends,

I agree on the comparisson indicated above, but i tried DocWin, which almost cover all features mentioned except for switchboard coupling  but rest of elements such that but not limited to, transformer sizing, cable sizing, busway sizing, short circuit calc., voltage drop calc, ups effect, motors, capacitor banks (power factor correction), are covered .i belive that this software is so powerfull, moreover, you can request a free copy from the site of abb by sending them a request from your business mail.

Leading PF can cause the safety devices (circuit breakers and contactors) to fail over time.

This is the first time I've ever heard of this. Could you please expand and give a technical reason why this may occur.

    Hi,

Thanks again. No, I haven't heard of those sites before today. I tried some of them without success. I was looking for a book entitled 'Transmission and Distribution Electrical Engineering' by Colin Bayliss (3rd edition). The first link you gave me, well, when I went to it, but had a little bit of trouble because after I translated the site to english, not all of it translated. I did try some of the downloads for the book, but they wouldn't work for me. I'm not sure what the problem is. Any ideas or other sources?

In any case, I appreciate your time and help.

    Sincerely,

    Jennifer

For the utility meter, less than 1 %

for house less than 1% and that is less than 20 kW

for more than 20 kW the precision becomes 0.2% with electronic meter such as ELSTER, ABB, SCHLUMBERGER.

Hi. My name is costas. I start my master thesis and i face a problem. i take measurements  in a hybrid renewable energy system (with photovoltaics and a wind turbine) to see the produce power quality of the system (i take measuremets after the inverter). From measurements i notice that i have big harmonig currents. I want to know if anybody have the IEEE standards for power quality (current, voltage) to compare them with the values of the measurements i take and also if there is a way to reduse this harmonics in the real system. Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Did you mean that you can download “mirror links” from ebookee.net, or do a search from somewhere else like google?  I'm not entirely sure what 'mirror links' are. Am I correct to understand that they are just other places where the same file has been downloaded? In this case, the whole books? I appreciate your time.

    Dear Jennifer,

here's a very usefull web site that can provide You various e-books..

You can simply start searching for “Electrical power systems” or lest say “Electric Power Transformer Engineering ” or even “Control of Induction Motors”……. Anything You may want to know…….

I supose there are also other similiar sites, but this has really large data base, many up-to-date books (from various areas) and provides You with a ISBN number, link to buy on Amazon (or etc. sites),, but You can also search for “mirror links” so You can download for free :) ..

(P.S. if some book You found have no mirror links, You may want to search for another with same title,, because people do “reposting” for those books)

Anyways, the site is : [Link removed by moderator team] so feel free to share Your opinion about how usefull You find it ;) ..

    Cheers,, Alen..

actually accuracy error of the energy meters depend upon the accuracy class of the meters.there are accuracy class 1,0.5,.1meters.These are meters allowing accuracy limits.

However, for your meter you need to check the accuracy of ur meter manually or you can ask your utility to verify your meter.

    Hello,

A couple of precision about Caneco BT:
    – LV genset source supply is possible at any place in the network.
    – Caneco BT is calculating in normal and stand-by installation configuration.
    – Also Caneco BT multi-manufacturer database integrates technical settings. This allows Caneco BT to make an automatic selection of most adapt cables and protective devices between 10 manufacturer catalogs.
    – Caneco BT also makes Import/Export from/to Excel.

I keep at your disposal for any further information.
