hi i want to know each and every thing about this software but please provide easy access to know and install this software.
I THINK THE SOFTWARE IS A GOOD IDEA, IS IT ALSO APPLICABLE FOR SIMPLE RESIDENTIAL BUILDIND ELECTRICAL DESIGN AND LOAD CALCULATIONS?
harmonics is because of presence of undistributed winding in the generator and improper winding design(one conductor under different poles).In the transmission line switching causes harmonics may occur.

Now a days in India, in Mumbai distribution APFC's are used to maintain P.F , in RSS depending upon the requirement capacitor banks are installed to improve the pf at transmission level. But due to some industries the power factor reduces which increases line current and some drop in voltage, depending upon the requirement they are charged and discharged. HT consumer's are penalized for the p.f if it goes below 0.98 and a compensation is given if thy maintain p.f more than 0.99.

It's for controlling the thyristors (2 per each phase) each allowing for half cycle pass and the other reversed to pass the negative half cycle.
the adv. is speed control over this drive (it's generally put in wells) to control the flow.
third harmonic is blocked because of delta connection in primary.

the economic dispatch problem and the variable load f=problems are infleunced by energy market,policy and legislation economics politics.
the problem of economic dispatch is serous especially in scenarios where the demand is far greater that supply because you do not have any optionm,thus may resort to load shedding or peak power shaving.also from the concept of peak and base load power stations,this is no longer true in the above scenario to my understanding because you can not apply energy the economics because with the current set up of electrcity price regulatuion the criterion become unfeasible.
