Which type of transformer give highest secondary voltage?

    1. D/D

    2.D/S

    3.S/S

    4.S/D

    Transformers with delta
connected secondaries are seldom used to supply consumer's loads because there is no position for a
neutral wire, such transformers are used for high voltage transmission between substations.

I want to know about single phase 220v and three phase 220v?

I have step up transformer and its primary voltage is single phase 220VAC and secondary voltage is three phase 380 VAC but there avalaible power 220VAC  three phase so i want ask that can i connect the power 220VAC three phase on primary side of transformer it is possible or not and how many wire connect on primary side i mean i will use three wire or two wire?

Can i connect the single phase 220VAC in place of 3 Phase 220VAC both voltage are same or not?

Please give me the answer as soon as possible,,,,

reverse osmosis is used for the desalination of sea water, not to produce electricity.

There may be problem in any one of the stud of the Three Phase.  Check the thermometer for temperature rise and mostly the problem may be related to resistance of the windings i.e the insulation strength might have gone. Perform meagre test and analyse the result. You may find a solution.

    Dear all,

PLease find out is the cooling system working fine. you didnt mention the type of cooling system present in your generator. If its oil cooled check the oil level. also adjust the temperature sensors and fan for fan driven cooling system..

Thanks hope it comes in handy , as i am just an engineer starting his career

Ray said:In both the voltage levels ie 12 V and 230 V. power consumption is same ie 500 watts. The Amps = W/V and styhus shall be 500/12 amps and 500/230 amps

Here is an online amperage chart that might help Dave.

Erickench, thank you so much for your information and good to hear from you. I will check NEC 352 and NEC 362, then if I have any questions. Can I consult you?

    Best regards

As far as I know Reverse Osmosis is used to produce water, no electricity.

    DEAR ENGINEERS

WE HAVE 910KVA GENERATOR  WHICH CAN NOT BE START  UNTILL IT ENDS THE COOLING TIME,EVENIF UTILITY POWER INTERRUPTED.SO WHAT CAN YOU ADVISE ME TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM?

    Dearest,

For Diesel Engine drive Electric Generators:

Check your DC control Panel on the shutdown cooling Timer or its slave relay, probably it is deffective

Check also the bypass relay if deffective for the auto-start mode- selector Switched to 'Mains Fail'.

If thiis wont work out for you…

Check the whole electrical path circuitry for auto-start and auto-shutdn device, relays, switches and pilot wires etc.,

For Catterpillar Gas turbine drive Electric Generators:

    Same procedure as the above…

Rare case, instead check proper functioning of its mecury switches

    GOOD LUCK!
