Some decades ago I spent time and brain power in designing a range of MV fuses. On completion of this task, I put on paper most of what I had learn in a publication that has been translated and refreshed in the early 2000’s.
Since then, I have received every now and then questions and comments about the use of MV fuses and their behaviour. And I am proud to see that this publication still appears well positioned in search engines.
Nevertheless I am convinced that, with time, the usage of fuses have evolved. Some manufacturers made a strong promotion of circuit breakers in transformer protections. Are MV fuses still as popular as they used to be ? In which geographies, for which application ?
In order to update my former publication, and to refresh data, I propose you a collaborative work in three very short questionnaires (a couple of minutes) . Questions are very short, but any more detailed contribution and comments is of course much welcome.
Following this, I will make a public synthesis , and will give full detailed data to those who wish to give their email.
    Thanks for your contribution ….
