motor power factor

     WHy certain motor name plate has lower power factor like .4 pf

    any advantage

    I have a motot at .4 pf, 575 V, 23 hp ,59 Amps, sf 1, 3 phase, 60 hz.

    What should be the overload load setting and what should be the size of circuit breaker

    Hey, Its just low powerfactor = More efficiency !!

    which implies to less power loss and low industrial cost for electricity !
