ParticipantI Have total load current 20amps in each phase i have 3phase cunnection i want to instal a generator so will u advise me what should be the capicty of generator.

KeymasterCapacity of the generator should be greater than total peak hour powerconsumption.

Participantwhen we connected agenerator with the network that must be the same as with 3phase event no that is not connected with
u must connected alone and I will put attension for this information to designe it with coming later thank u

KeymasterThe capacity of generator must be the peak load current multiplied by its power factor and operating voltage then multiplied by square root of 3..The unit is watts.

Dear Mr. ANSARI ;
to be able to calculate the Generator's power, we should know :
– Rhe Voltage's value between 2 phases.
once knowing, we apply the following formula :
S = 1.73 x U x I
where :
– S : generator's Power in ” VA “
– U : voltage between 2 phases
– I : line's current
but after calculation we should add at least 20-25 %, because the bigest effeicency for a generator done at 75-80% of his power.
Regards.
