KeymasterIn my project I have to connect 2 patch chord between 2 existing panels. As a practice known to me .., me followed with a cable schedule and module upgrade in the existing 19” rack in one of the panel.
Consultant comment on my drawing surprised me: Additional to the cable schedule provided with label , terminals and panel references in the location of the panel (in same room) , Provide a layout of the room showing 2 patch chord laid.
Did anyone heard of a consultant comment such as the one above in the past.. As I never heard such a comment in the past during 25 years of professional life..
Even I will agree on consultant comment.., if I have to install a new panel and lay a new cable from this panel to the existing panel. Not a layout for laying 2 patch chord between existing panels.. A cable schedule may be enough.. Please help me to defend my position referring to any IEEE standard or international standard reference.
advance thx on your feedback and advice.
