Cable Sizing based on Load

Dear Sir

I am very glad to say that i am a member this Electrical Engineering Community to share and gain knowlegde in the upto date changing technology in the modern industries..

I would like to inform you that i wanna use a suitable size of cable for the loads to any euipments ,lightings or domestic home applainces..Please suggest me is there any basic calculation so that it will be easy to calculate and decide the exact size of cable to be used for a particular loads.

Please clarify me with your valuable points…

BS7671 gives method of applying diversity factors for various types of loads(domestic) and applying factors like ambient temp,grouping factor,enclosed/open etc to select cable. Selection for motor loads should be referred in NEC
