New design software for electrical installation

I have found a new on Internet: Simaris Design Basic. It is a software for calculation: short-circuit calculations, cables sizing and protection devices choice and settings. This is a new version. I knew the old version of this software – 1.5, which is not available any more.

BIM concept (Building Information Modelling) is also promoted out of the US through building SMART International (formerly International alliance for Interoperability, IAI)  which recommends a data standard for BIM: IFC (Industry Foundation Classes). I heard about projects requiring BIM design in Northern Europe…
