Many of us having USB port in their laptop and PC. On other hand most of data transfer electronic equipment like energy meters, relay, data banks have either RS-485 port OR optical port for data communication. It becomes very difficult when one have laptop /PC with USB and want to transfer data through RS-485 port.
I want detail diagram and step by step method /procedure for transferring data form relay/energy meter to laptop?
