    Greetings,

I recently came across a very old, very strange electric motor and am hoping someone out there will take an interest out of curiosity & can help share some information about it.

The motor is label ROTULA MOTOR, made in Holland – ZACO Amsterdam. It is 127v 50hz and activates 2 small air compressor cylinders.

Video of it can be seen at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5QYSPXkr_0

No one I have shown it to has seen this style of motor (is there a name for this configuration?)

I can not find any information about it on the internet, any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You
    Wade

It seems to me that this motor is of no practical use, so probably a demonstration model for schools.

The top part looks like a flywheel, while the motor itself is probably on the bottom of the machine.
