Proving an IT (Unearthed) motor dead to allow access to its conductors

Can anyone tell me if there is a standard or procedure for proving dead the conductors of a motor for the following systems, both unearthed marine systems.

Testing I assume will differ to that of an earthed system?

LV unearthed system
HV unearthed system

Due to no earth reference within IT systems is a between phases test the only type required? Proving obviously before and after or would I require to test any other way?
