Electrical installation & energy efficiency

I am living in a South Indian village, in a 2000 squre feet building with a height of 30 feet (ground floor +first floor). The building is located in an isolated place, say, in about 500 mts there are no other buildings. Seasonally we have very strong lightning and thunders. It is felt very heavy at the building and the duration between the lightning and thunder is more often around 5-8 seconds. I need an expert guidance on:  should I have a lightning protection system done for the building? And, if yes how it should be done?
